Sell Information Online And Protect Your Ebooks

When you sell information online in ebook format, can you stop people from sharing it? You can limit sharing using Clickbank as a payment option. Clickbank provides some measure of protection.

How does it work? The first step is to create a sales page for your product. A customer clicks on the buy link and Clickbank allows them to enter their credit card information. If the information is valid, Clickbank sends the customer your download page. If the payment is not valid, Clickbank will not send the customer your download page. As a result, a customer can only access your page if they provide a valid form of payment

The limitation with Clickbank is that it cannot protect you from a paying customer who shares your product. Once a customer pays for and downloads your product, they can share it with whomever they want.

If you are looking for a way to protect your products when you sell information online, one way to do so is by using a membership website with a password. What you do is place the information you want to offer on a webpage instead of in ebook format. For example, on my website, they have to use their user name and password and their account is linked to their payment information. When you sell a $700 course with a $97 per month membership subscription, protecting your information is important. You do not want that type of information being shared. I do not care as much if I am selling a $27 ebook.

There are some cases, particularly in Christian and other morality based markets where sharing is not as big of a concern. Often you can simply use the honor system to discourage sharing. What you do is note in the ebook that this is not a free product and that if the reader received the product for free to report the person sharing back to you and delete or purchase the product. You might be surprised by how many people will actually report back to you and either delete or purchase the product. Many people are honest about this type of thing.

The only way to protect your information from being shared is using a password or a PDF protection application as other methods are not fool proof and your information can still be shared when you sell information online.

What Is The Best Way When You Sell Information To Protect It Online?

Previously, I explained about the various options at your disposal to protect your products when you sell information. Using a membership website that requires password authentication is one way to do this. You also have the option to use PDF software protection. The choice is yours.

To find pdf protection software, do a search for either pdf protection or ebook protection to find different options. I personally believe that investing in this type of software is a wasted investment. The reason why is because your money and time is better invested in finding ways to sell more copies of your ebook than stopping people from trying to download your ebook for free. The money you spend on that type of software can be better spent on directing traffic to your website. Creating new products is a better way to spend your business building time. A membership site is a much better way to protect your information.

One great approach that I use when I sell information is to sell ebooks at a set price, such as $27 and promote my $19.97 monthly audio membership to those buyers. Only customers for my ebooks learn about my audio club membership; therefore, I know who is paying me. Another program that I offer is a gold membership. With this program, they pay a higher amount than the audio membership, which allows me to purchase my membership software, known as AMember. AMember allows me to track user names and passwords for my customers so I can limit access to only my authorized members.

Trying to stop people from sharing a $27 ebook is a waste of my time and effort. Besides I can stop most of the people for free. All I do is tell them in the ebook that the product is not free and that if they receive it for free they should do the right thing and delete it and that works well for me.

As for my monthly audio website program, my AMember software does the job. Having access to this type of program for a membership site or a physical or digital product is a great form of protection because everyone has to have account information in order to use it. This is why I go with this option as opposed to going with an ebook protector.

The Importance Of Using Radar Detectors

If you've ever had the joy of riding along, radar detector online, only to be pulled over by a hidden cop, then there is some news that you might have an interest in hearing. Many of the radar detectors on the market today are not as functional as they claim. In fact, many of them absolutely do not work under real, working conditions. This is due in large part to the development of new radar guns which the police have been only too happy to put into use.

The latest models of radar guns use digital signal processing or DSP for short. These radar guns with their cutting edge technology are incredibly fast. Policemen keep them on standby and when a car comes into range, it is possible to lock on to the car and measure its speed, all in less than one tenth of a second!

Coupled with this new speed is a lower power footprint that previous detectors. Modern radar guns use Ka band frequency, which uses a very high bandwidth, which is more than fifty times higher than previous, X band radar guns. This means that detectors have a much harder time finding the signal from radar guns.

Now, detection signals can work anywhere in the spectrum available, and a radar detector isn't sure which will come at it. So it has to scan the entire length of possibilities, which takes time and reduces detection range, which means that they become less effective.

Another advantage the police have in regards to their radar guns is the guns ability to detect the highest speeding vehicle within its range. This is unlike the old radar guns that had to measure each cars speed individually. So no more hiding behind a larger vehicle to avoid detection of your speed.

As technology has developed things are getting worse for the average driver. More and more police are getting rid of their previous X band radar and replacing them with the new more efficient DSP technology radar. This ultimately means that your radar detection system is becoming less and less effective.

This means that you will have to do a bit of research to find the ratings available on radar detectors. The kind of detectors that you will need will depend on what your requirements are. If you use the highways often, you will need a radar detector with a high rating. On the other hand if you drive mostly within the city, you will require a detector that has an efficient filter to weed out false alarms without losing the range of detection.

Whatever detector you choose, you're going to have to live with the fact that detectors are going to have to continue evolving to match the continually evolving threat of radar guns, and that no one detector will keep you safe now, or forever.

Search Terms Could Leave Your Computer In Harm’s Way!

There are certain conditions that could leave you and your computer defenseless to spy ware and additional viruses.

Cyber-crime is a fairly large business and currently criminals are seeking their ways onto pcs that may not be looking for "trouble" but clean things

The most awful terms to look for are:

Lyrics: like lyrics to a song, because most children that are 12-15 don't know any better than to just click on ANY link to get the information will do so.

Free or Gratis: I recognize only a tad bit of Spanish, however I know that these two words might lead you into plenty of trouble. Spyware, adware, and viruses leak freely to these search terms.

Gear, gadgets, and games - If you actually want to know what's the most up-to-date in gadgets, please stopover here more habitually. I am at all times up to date on the latest phones so please shoot me a question before searching and ending up with a virus on your computer

Olympics - Michael Phelps did an amazing thing for the United States, by winning all those gold medals, but now individuals are asking what his subsequent move is This might lead to spyware being installed on your PC as well.

Videos - There are a lot of video programs out there for pcs, like YouTube, that is Flash.

Celebrities - Get your reports from a "trusted" resource such as one of the top 10,000 in Alexa for famous person news, some of them include Dlisted (my personal favorite), Perez Hilton, and TMZ.

The most risky search words as created by McAfee states that search words like the ones stated above signal scammers (everything from unaccompanied operators to organized crime) will be capable to do commerce with other criminals so they can relocate their money.

I don't think that anyone who reads this blog wants to particularly render any money they may have or had to organized crime so there are some steps you can take to protect your confidentiality:

1) Anti virus and ad ware programs, run each single day. Ad-Ware, SpyBot, Symanticthese ought to all be businesses that you are not only conscious of but also fairly familiar with when it comes to internet safety. These programs will assist keep your identity protected.

2) Check your childrens' behavior on the internet. Just confirm that they aren't distributing any private information to anybody on the internet.

3) Make positive that there are evident steps that you are taking to avoid identity robbery other than those said above. This weekend Lizzie talked about shopping over the internet for items. Well, the majority of credit card corporations now offer ways to shop a bit safer counting virtual numbers. With a virtual number you can shop and if some over the internet store makes a decision to take your credit digits for a "drive" they won't get very far.

Keep these reasons in mind and possibly you can have a clear conscious when going to bed at night.
