Most people never expect to have a need for self-defense equipment. They may feel if they own a stun gun or canister of pepper spray, they are accepting the fact that some day the unthinkable might happen. Figuring if they don’t think about self-defense, they will never need it. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The unfortunate reality is, the world is not a safe place. There are “sickos”, “weirdoes” and perverts out there with one thing in mind, their pleasure and your agony. Personal security devices are essential tools in today’s unsafe world. 1) Personal security products are needed as a safety measure against attack.

Owning self-defense product is like having car insurance. No one ever expects to get into a vehicle mishap, but we have to have it anyway as a precaution. 2) Assaults are commonplace in this day and age. Most take place suddenly and unexpectedly, and they can happen to anyone.

Self-defense products are a necessary means of survival these days because it is rare for someone to go through life without at least one confrontation with an assailant. By carrying pepper spray, a stun gun or some other defensive device, you have a means to protect yourself against that degenerate attacker; even one much larger or stronger than you. Defending yourself against a mugger who means you serious harm is not only the right thing to do, it is the morally superior thing to do. After all this person has gone out of his way to inflict harm on you for his gain.

3) The only individual you can depend on in an assault is YOU.

If you are ever attacked, it is unlikely that anyone, even the police, will come to your aid fast enough. We live in a dangerous world with too many drugs, gangs, robberies, assaults, rapes, home intrusions, etc. There simply isn’t a sufficient amount of law officers available to be on all street corners in every metropolitan area. You can’t count on help from eyewitnesses either. Most will be too afraid for their own safety to attempt your rescue. Let’s face it; it will be up to you to protect yourself in any way possible. This is why it is vital to have some sort of self protection device available to defend yourself with and help you escape an assailant.

Remember you can own all the self-defense products available, but they will do you absolutely no good if you don’t use them. Keep them handy. Be familiar with their operation. You must be prepared to use them if the situation should arise. The best part about stun guns, TASER devices, pepper spray and mace type self-defense weapons is they are non-lethal in nature. They will not leave any lasting effects. Their primary purpose is to bring that “punk” down long enough for you to escape and find help.
